Cebu Institute of Technology – University continues to uphold its commitment to social responsibility by extending the gift of learning beyond its walls.

Through its Community Extension Services, the University recently donated a collection of children’s books to Mabolo Police Station 4 through the initiative of Chairman Rev. Art Tangal, who is also the President of the Cebu City Private Schools Administrators Association (CCPSAA) and Director of Harvest Christian International School. The books were officially endorsed by the University Librarian, Ms. Rainera Boholst, and Elementary Principal, Ms. Genabel Patrimoni, and handed by our Vice President for Academic Affairs, Atty. Corazon Evangelista-Valencia, affirming CIT University’s dedication to supporting initiatives that promote literacy and lifelong learning.

The donation aims to benefit children aged 6 to 12 years, fostering their imagination, curiosity, and love for reading. This initiative aligns with the University’s broader mission to nurture holistic growth not only among its students but also within the wider community. By reaching out to young learners outside its campus, CIT University demonstrates that education is not confined to classrooms—it is a bridge that connects institutions, communities, and generations.

Recognized as a top Philippine university, CIT University takes pride in transforming academic excellence into meaningful community engagement. Its outreach programs serve as living testaments to the belief that education can be a force for good, shaping responsible citizens who are both compassionate and competent.

Beyond academic endeavors, the institution continues to promote a culture of excellence anchored in service, innovation, and inclusivity. Every initiative—from book drives to literacy programs—reflects CIT University’s philosophy that excellence is best measured by the positive impact made on others.

As a top university known for producing industry-preferred graduates, CIT University recognizes that the success of education lies not only in its outcomes but in the opportunities it creates for others to thrive. Through this donation, the University reinforces its role as a catalyst for change—one that believes every child deserves access to quality educational resources.
