Mission

To serve the CIT community through quality and effectively-managed programs in admissions, scholarships, awards and recognition.

Goals
  1. To increase enrollment by actively hosting or participating in events to advance the school’s efforts of      recruiting students who are available for admission to elementary, secondary, and tertiary levels;
 
  1. To increase the number of scholars by
    1. actively procuring scholarship grants through/and developing strong linkages with the private and public sectors, and the alumni; and
    2. annually reviewing the CIT-Funded Scholarships and Discount Programs to make them more attractive to the high school and elementary graduates of CIT and other schools
 
  1. To deliver effective and efficient programs and services at all times by
    1. giving prompt assistance to clients applying for admissions, scholarships, recognition and awards; and
    2. regularly evaluating the OAS programs and services.

Non-Academic Scholarship Application

The Non-Academic Scholarship Program is one of CIT University’s student assistance programs intended for deserving students who are financially incapable of obtaining a college education.

QUALIFICATIONS

An applicant for Non – Academic Scholarship must have the following qualifications:

  1. Of good moral character and with no criminal record;
  2. Preferably first or second year needy and deserving college student who belongs to the following categories:
    1. CIT University Senior High School graduate with a grade average of at least 80%
    2. Non – CIT University Senior High School graduate with at least one (1) semester or summer term residency in CIT University, a weighted average grade of at least 3.5, no failing mark and a minimum study load of 15 units in the previous semester or 6 units in the summer term.
  3. Family per capita monthly gross income of not more than Php 2,500.00
  4. Physically and mentally fit
SCHEDULE OF APPLICATION A student interested to become a non-academic scholar must apply for the said scholarship within the following prescribed period:

For Summer and First Semester Applicants: May to June

For Second Semester Applicants: January

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS The following requirements must be submitted when applying for the program:
  1. First Screening
    1. Application letter addressed to the University President
    2. Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of both parents (if no ITR, a tax exemption certificate from the BIR)
    3. Copy of the final grades of the latest semester or report card for CIT University Senior High School graduates
    4. Duly accomplished NAS personal data sheet with 2×2 picture
    5. Certificate of good moral character issued by the Student Success Office (SSO)
    6. Written Examination (Essay)

NOTE:

  2. If the applicant is currently enrolled, he/she is expected to submit his final grades/report card not later than seven (7) working days from the date of schedule of release of such document.
  3. Applications lacking in requirements will not be entertained.
  4. Any wrong information or misrepresentation or suppression of facts made by an applicant shall make the application invalid. In cases where an applicant is granted the scholarship but was later found to have falsified any of the above documents, the scholarship shall be terminated immediately and the NAS shall be obligated to pay to CIT University the total amount of the Scholarship enjoyed.
