CIT University celebrated a lineup of victories and empowering events as the month of March opened.

Celebrating FIRST PRIZE at the 9th Huawei ICT Competition Computing Track  

A huge congratulations to Team Wildcats from the College of Computer Studies for securing FIRST PRIZE in the Computing Track at the 9th Huawei ICT Competition Asia Pacific 2024-2025 Finals! Held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, CIT University once again proved why we’ve been a CHED Center of Excellence in Information Technology since 2007.

Competing against the brightest minds across the Asia Pacific, Team Philippines, led by our talented students Adrian Sajulga, Tristan James Tolentino, and Thomas Danjo Manulat, triumphed with outstanding performance, earning a spot in the Global Finals in China this May 2025. Huge thanks to their dedicated coach, Dr. Eugene Busico, for his guidance and support! 

CIT University Crowns Mathematician of the Year 2025!  

The highly anticipated Mathematician of the Year 2025 event at CIT University has officially wrapped up, and what an incredible showcase of mathematical brilliance it was! Congratulations to Rohan Ardiente (BSECE 4) for being named Mathematician of the Year 2025! He won a ₱25,000 cash prize and a new laptop, with thanks to CIT University, the Jurani-Catarata Foundation, Engr. Edwin Abaquita (MOTY 1990), and University President Engr. Bernard Nicolas E. Villamor.  

Congratulations also to our runners-up who garnered the following prizes for their efforts:

1st Runner-Up: Charles Anthony Santillan (BSEE 4) – ₱10,000  
2nd Runner-Up: Reynard Batasin-in (BSCE 4) – ₱7,000 

This prestigious event is a testament to the outstanding caliber of CIT University students, and how we equip them with both academic excellence and industry-relevant skills. CIT-U Celebrates National Women’s Month  

CIT University kicked off the 2025 National Women’s Month with an inspiring and empowering celebration led by the Head of the Community Extension Services, Dr. Luni Villacastin. Our Vice President for Academic Affairs, Atty. Corazon Evangelista-Valencia, shared an uplifting message that reminded us to honor the strength, resilience, and influence of women in shaping a more sustainable and inclusive future. 

With this year’s theme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,” the event aligned with Sustainable Development Goals such as Gender Equality (SDG 5), Quality Education (SDG 4), and Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8). At CIT University, we remain committed to empowering women and fostering a future where every woman can succeed.
