CIT-U TOPS AGAIN!

On May 9, 2024, CIT University, the top university in Cebu and the home of topnotchers and first placers, held a momentous Recognition and Namemarking Ceremony at the University Library’s Wall of Fame to celebrate our topnotchers and first placer from the April 2024 Civil Engineering (CE) and Electrical Engineering (EE) Licensure Exams. This special event was not only a tribute to the hard-earned success of our brightest minds but also a heartfelt acknowledgment of the support from their loved ones, the dedication of our faculty members, and the unwavering commitment of the entire CIT University community.

After eight long years, our Electrical Engineering department has claimed once again its topnotch spots.

Clinching the Top 1 is Raymond O. Geoman, followed by the Top 6 with Marc Restie S. Laput, Paul Anthony M. Aliasut on Top 7, and our 2022-2023 King of Engineers Vijay M. De Guma on Top 9. We also have claimed the Top 8 spot with Michael Lyndon M. Chua and Lennon Gabrielle N. Francisco on Top 10 from the Civil Engineering department. We are immensely loud and proud with this historical milestone from the two departments. These exemplary individuals have demonstrated remarkable dedication and perseverance, embodying the spirit of excellence that CIT University stands for.

True to the Technologian’s culture of excellence, the ceremony was a true display of dedication empowered by education. It served as an inspiration for the next generation of Technologians, who will continue to be immersed in CIT University’s culture of excellence. The event celebrated not only the students’ accomplishments but also the collaborative effort of everyone involved in their journey. It was a moment to honor the collective achievement and to inspire future innovations and success.

As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence in engineering education, CIT University also celebrated the 25th anniversary of our Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).

Along with this, we also have passers in the Electrical Engineer Licensure Exam from our ETEEAP graduates: Rolly D. Linogao and Johanne Marcelo L. Bacusmo. We also congratulate another ETEEAP Graduate, Steven Rey G. Porquiado for passing the 14th Certified Industrial Engineer (CIE) Examination. This milestone marks a quarter-century of empowering engineers through alternative learning and recognition of prior learning. ETEEAP has been instrumental in shaping the careers of many successful engineers, including some of our current topnotchers. It stands as a testament to CIT University’s dedication to providing accessible, equitable, and inclusive education for all, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4: Quality Education and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities.

Through initiatives like these, we reaffirm our commitment to delivering quality education and fostering an environment where students can achieve their fullest potential. We take pride in being the home of topnotchers and first placers, and we look forward to welcoming the next generation of achievers.

Congratulations once again to all our honored engineers! Your achievements are a source of inspiration and a beacon of hope for future Technologians. Here’s to future innovations and continued success! All Hail, Maroon & Gold!
