
Cebu Institute of Technology – University (CIT-U) recently participated in the Energy Startup Bootcamp for Teachers, organized by New Energy NEXUS Philippines from August 1-3, 2023. Faculty from the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) and the College of Management, Business and Accountancy (CMBA) attended the event to enhance their skills and align their teaching with industry needs in preparation for the upcoming academic year.
The bootcamp included intensive workshops on innovative technologies and business strategies to tackle global energy challenges, culminating in a pitching session where faculty teams presented their creative ideas. The enthusiasm and innovation displayed by CIT-U faculty underscored the university’s commitment to developing graduates who can effectively address real-world issues in the energy sector.
CIT-U expresses gratitude to New Energy NEXUS Philippines for hosting the bootcamp, reinforcing its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 and 7, which emphasize quality education and affordable clean energy.
