Student Success Office

The Student Success Office (SSO) is a central administrative unit responsible for advancing the holistic development, success, engagement, and well-being of CIT University students. Established as a strategic development office, the SSO provides programs and services that foster student growth beyond the classroom through leadership development, character formation, scholarship support, career readiness, global citizenship education and student organization development.

The Student Success Office (SSO) issues class excuse slips to bona fide CIT-U students with valid and documented reasons for their absence.

A. Who Can Request

Bona fide CIT-U students may request an excuse slip for absences due to:

  1. Medical concerns
  2. Calamities
  3. Participation in officially approved school activities

B. Requirements

1. Medical Concerns

  • Valid medical certificate verified by the CIT-U Medical-Dental Clinic
  • The medical certificate must indicate the date(s) to be excused

2. Calamities or Official School Activities

  • Appropriate supporting document(s), when applicable

C. How to Request

  1. Proceed to the Student Success Office (SSO) and submit the required document(s) for verification.
  2. Once approved, claim your Excuse Slip from the SSO.

All students are required to wear the prescribed school uniform.

A. Uniform Requirement

  • Old/Continuing Students: Second Monday from the start of classes

  • New Students: Third Monday from the start of classes

B. Who Can Request and Requirements

Students with valid concerns regarding the availability of their prescribed uniform may request a uniform exemption to be allowed entry to the campus.

To apply:

  1. Complete the designated Uniform Exemption Application Form.

  2. Submit the required supporting documents based on the applicable reason for the request.

A. Process

Step 1: Accomplish the Request Form

  1. Complete the Yellow Request Slip available at the SSO Office.

  2. Accomplish the Online Request Form for monitoring and verification.

  3. Scan the QR code at the back of the Request Slip or access the online form through: https://bit.ly/REQUEST-SSO-GMC

Step 2: Verify Balance and Settle the Fee

A. Have your balance verified at:

  • SHS: Window 10

  • College: Window E

B. If you have an excess balance:

  • Request to have the GMC fee debited from your excess balance.

  • Return to the SSO Office after the transaction.

C. If you have no excess balance:
Pay the applicable GMC fee at the Finance and Accounting Office (FAO):

  • College: ₱60.32

  • SHS: ₱78.00

D. Return to the SSO Office after payment.

Step 3: Submit Proof of Payment

Submit your official receipt/proof of payment to the SSO Office.

Upon verification, you will receive your Claim Slip.

Step 4: Claim Your GMC

Claim your Good Moral Certificate (GMC) on the date indicated on your Claim Slip.

Important Reminders

Before claiming your GMC, please ensure that:

  • All deficiencies have been settled. Otherwise, your GMC will be placed on hold.

  • You observe the prescribed dress code upon claiming.

  • You bring one (1) valid ID.

  • You bring your Claim Slip.

Authorized Representative

If someone else will claim the GMC on your behalf, the authorized representative must submit:

  1. Authorization Letter

  2. Student ID with three (3) specimen signatures

  3. Claimant’s ID with three (3) specimen signatures

B. Processing Time

The Good Moral Certificate will be processed within three (3) working days, excluding weekends.

  • Your signed Letter of Explanation is ready for upload in PDF format.

  • You are prepared to complete the form in one sitting, which will take approximately 20–25 minutes.

B. Process

The request consists of three (3) steps:

Watch the Faculty Evaluation Webinar asynchronously. The video is approximately 10 minutes long.

STEP 3: Take the Quiz

Complete the 10-item quiz after watching the webinar.

Passing Score: 6 out of 10

A. Who Can Apply

The accreditation/re-accreditation process is open to:

  1. Existing Student Organizations – for re-accreditation

  2. New Student Organizations – for initial accreditation

B. Application Requirements

1. Existing Student Organizations – Re-accreditation

Existing organizations applying for re-accreditation must submit the following:

  • List of new officers, including contact numbers and email addresses

  • List of new members, including Student ID numbers

  • Tentative Calendar of Activities for AY 2026–2027

  • Accomplishment Report for AY 2025–2026

  • Financial Statement Report for AY 2025–2026

  • Good Moral Certification of all Executive Officers

  • Copies of Grade Slips for the past two (2) regular semesters

  • Amended/Revised Constitution and By-Laws, if applicable

2. New Student Organizations

New organizations applying for accreditation must submit the following:

  • Constitution and By-Laws

  • Proposed Calendar of Activities for AY 2026–2027

  • Letter of Intent/Application signed by the organization adviser/s

    • For program-based organizations, the letter must also be signed by the Chair and Dean

C. Organization’s Good Moral Certification Request

Organizations requesting Good Moral Certifications for their executive officers must:

  1. Submit the request as one organization through sso@cit.edu.

  2. Include the following information in table format:

A. Requirements for Shifting

Students requesting to shift to another academic program must prepare the following:

  • Course Evaluation

  • Final Grade

  • Accomplish the Online Shifting of Program Form:

B. For Returnees

  1. Log in to your WITS account and proceed with self-enrollment.

  2. If you do not have a WITS account yet, please proceed to the Educational Technology Office (ETO) for assistance.

C. Processing Time

Subject to Department Approval.
