CIT University joins Tubo Cebu Art Fair through a Mural Walk
No less than Cebu City Vice Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia graced the halls of the creative campus of the South that is CIT University at the 4th level of the Don Rodolfo T. Lizares (RTL) Building last September 14, 2023 for a mural walk. This mural walk is in collaboration with the organizers of the Tubo Cebu Art Fair, Cebu City’s grandest art exhibit, which happened last September 15, 2023 at the Ayala Center Cebu. Additionally, this initiative showcased the institution’s rich artistic talent and the vibrant creative community that thrives within the walls of the top university.
Aside from Honorable Garcia, the Mural Walk was also graced by two renowned Kadangyan ethno-tribal artists Bhava Mitra and Jean “Govinda” Marquesto who were toured by the Mural Project head, Mr. Edwin Ao, along with the Multimedia Arts students.
As the Creative Campus in the South, we will continue to nurture this wealth of creativity to thrive and flourish within the halls of CIT University.
Launching of Sibika Hub for Central and Eastern Visayas
14th of September—Cebu Institute of Technology – University, as a top university in Cebu, set a significant milestone towards quality education with the launching of Sibika Hub for Central and Eastern Visayas. The launching was held at the Collaboration Room of the University Library, adjacent to the Learning Resource and Activity Center. The momentous occasion was graced with the presence of the guests from the local government, Department of Education, and other partner organizations.
The Sibika Hub is a gateway for students to dive deep into the rich cultural heritage of Cebu, and the entirety of the Philippines. Beyond that, it fosters collaboration among students from different high schools in Central and Eastern Visayas, creating a vibrant atmosphere of shared learning and exploration. Moreover, this launching reaffirms the commitment of CIT University, especially as a top university, to be a beacon of cultural discovery and collaborative growth.
CIT University grabbed 2nd Runner Up spot in Scrabble Tournament
Scrabble-tastic! Consistent to our nature as the top university in Cebu, the CIT University has once again created a wave of roar when Leo Paolo Y. Ballaso secured the 2nd runner up spot at the 2nd Councilor Rey Gealon Scrabble Open Tournament High School category. The event took place at the SM Seaside City Wing Atrium on September 9, 2023. This event has greatly shown the prowess of Leo in the world of wordplay—manifesting the diverse talents and excellence of CIT-U students.
