CIT University recently had the honor of hosting Japanese students from Osaka Sogo Hoiku University for their Teaching Immersion Program. During their visit, the students participated in select classes to improve their English language skills while experiencing the rich, multicultural learning environment here in Cebu!

CIT University Shares AI Best Practices at the 11th CCPSAA Teachers’ Congress  

CIT University proudly hosted the 11th CCPSAA Teachers’ Congress, welcoming around 800 private Basic Education teachers and administrators from across Cebu City. During the event, Dr. Larmie S. Feliscuzo, Director for Management Information Systems and External Affairs, delivered a powerful plenary session on the role of Artificial Intelligence in Education, titled “AI in Action: Transforming Education for Future-Ready Generation.” Dr. Feliscuzo shared best practices and innovations from CIT University, showcasing our leadership in integrating AI into education. 

Ranked TOP 33 in the WURI 2024 World University Rankings for Innovation under the General AI Application category, CIT University continues to drive forward a future-ready learning environment. By equipping educators with transformative tools, we ensure that students are mentored by agile, AI-empowered teachers. 

This event also saw Engr. Alona M. Solis co-chairing the congress, reinforcing our commitment to collaborative educational initiatives. Aligned with SDGs 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), CIT University continues to lead innovation and collaboration in education. 

CIT University Hosts Mandato 2025: A Voters’ Education Forum for Youth Empowerment

CIT University recently hosted Mandato 2025, a timely voters’ education forum in partnership with 93.1FM Cebu and Teleradyo Serbisyo Radyo 630, ahead of the May 2025 elections. The event featured panel discussions led by experts from COMELEC, Kontratikas, C-CIMPEL, and DepEd, who emphasized the importance of informed voting and civic participation in sustaining a strong democracy.

Hosted by media personalities Winnie Cordero, Johnson Manabat, and Robert Mano, the event also served as a learning lab for CIT-U AB Communication students, who took part as technical and production assistants—applying their classroom knowledge in a real media setting. The forum directly supports Sustainable Development Goals 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and 4 (Quality Education) by empowering young citizens with the tools and understanding to take part in shaping their future through responsible voting and civic engagement.
