The second week of March was packed full for CIT University’s initiatives on innovation and student engagements as we conducted our Intramurals and hosted Japanese students for their immersion program.

CIT University Hosted 3-Day Startup Grant Fund Bootcamp  

CIT University was thrilled to host the DOST-PCIEERD Startup Grant Fund (SGF) Bootcamp, a three-day intensive program designed to help startups develop competitive proposals for the SGF Program. Participants gained invaluable skills through expert-led lectures, coaching, and writeshops, learning how to transform their ideas into industry-ready solutions. 

As a strategic partner for startups and industries, CIT University continues to provide students with essential exposure to innovation and real-world opportunities, shaping future-ready professionals who drive economic growth and technological progress. This initiative aligns with SDGs 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), reinforcing our commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and cutting-edge research. 

CIT University Intramurals 2025 Awarding Ceremony  

The grand finale of CIT University Intramurals 2025: The Clash of Celestial Realms was a spectacular celebration of excellence, unity, and the spirit of competition.  After days of thrilling events, the Awarding Ceremony highlighted the resilience, teamwork, and boundless potential of our students, showcasing their unwavering determination, creativity, and collaboration. 

From athletes to performers and esports competitors, each participant embodied the true spirit of Technologian excellence. This year’s Intramurals not only emphasized the power of sports and the arts but also reinforced the value of holistic development, aligning with SDGs 4 (Quality Education), SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-being), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions).

CIT University Welcomes Japanese Students for Immersion Program 

CIT University recently had the honor of hosting Japanese students from Osaka Sogo Hoiku University for their Teaching Immersion Program. During their visit, the students participated in select classes to improve their English language skills while experiencing the rich, multicultural learning environment here in Cebu!
