
Cebu Institute of Technology – University (CIT University), a top Philippine university known for its culture of excellence, recently hosted Ms. Sharon Fletcher, CEO of several U.S.-based technology companies, to explore potential partnerships in artificial intelligence (AI), drone technology, and other emerging innovations.
Representing CIT University, one of the top universities and a leading engineering university in Cebu, were Atty. Corazon Evangelista-Valencia, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Larmie Feliscuzo, Director of External Affairs and MIS, Dr. Chris Jordan Aliac, Manager of the AI FabLab, and Dr. Cheryl Pantaleon, Chair of the Information Technology Department.
Ms. Fletcher expressed keen interest in establishing an AI-driven enterprise in collaboration with CIT University, aiming to develop technology-based solutions that address global and local needs. During her visit, Ms. Fletcher and her six guests—including Hon. Salvador Dela Fuente, former Mayor of Madridejos, Cebu (Bantayan Island)—were given a guided tour of the AI FabLab. The tour, led by Dr. Aliac and Mr. Ephrem Joseph Catane, highlighted CIT University’s growing capacity in artificial intelligence, robotics, and advanced technology development.
