CIT-U Celebrates Excellence with 3 AASHPI Awardees 

CIT University proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of three exceptional staff and faculty members who were honored at the AASHPI Distinguished People Awards 2024, held on November 7th, as part of AASHPI’s 25th Silver Anniversary. 

This year’s theme, “Redefining HR Excellence,” highlights CIT-U’s commitment to advancing quality education, promoting decent work and economic growth, and reducing inequalities—aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our awardees exemplify these values and have made significant contributions in their respective fields.

CIT-U’s SSG President Wins Best Delegate at 15th AYIMUN in Thailand! 

 CIT University’s Supreme Student Government President, Richard Molina, has made his mark on the international stage by winning the Best Delegate award at the prestigious 15th Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN) in Bangkok, Thailand! Held from November 1-4, 2024, at the Rama Gardens Hotel, this gathering of young leaders tackled some of the world’s most critical issues, and Richard’s success in the IMF Council stands as a testament to his exemplary skills in diplomacy, leadership, and global awareness. 

Richard represented CIT University with distinction, showing the power of youth engagement in addressing pressing global challenges and promoting cross-cultural understanding. His achievement reflects not only personal dedication but also CIT-U’s commitment to shaping future leaders aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. By participating in AYIMUN, Richard contributed to SDG 4 (Quality Education) through knowledge-sharing, SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by fostering global peace discussions, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through international collaboration.

CIT-U Celebrates World Mental Health Month with Wellness Seminar for Faculty and Staff 


 
CIT University closed out World Mental Health Month on a high note with a wellness seminar designed to support employees’ well-being through skincare and stress management. The seminar, titled Stress-Free Skincare: Revitalizing Your Skin Amidst Work Pressure, offered faculty and staff essential tips to maintain healthy skin while navigating the challenges of work life. Attendees gained valuable insights into self-care tailored to the workplace, contributing to their overall well-being and resilience. 

Led by the General Wellness Committee, the session featured Dr. Vanessa A. Caudor of CIT-U’s Medical Dental Clinic and received support from the Human Resource Department. Esteemed guest speaker Dr. Maria Estella Dalit shared practical advice, skills, and resources that encourage a healthy balance between personal care and work demands. The event emphasized CIT-U’s dedication to nurturing a supportive work environment and fostering continuous learning. 

This wellness initiative aligns CIT-U’s efforts with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 4, and 8—promoting good health, quality education, and decent work environments. Here’s to CIT-U’s ongoing commitment to supporting the well-being of its community members! 
 
CIT-U Celebrates Technologian Excellence Through Local and Global Achievements

CIT University President, Engr. Bernard Nicolas E. Villamor, recently had a courtesy call with two exceptional Technologians who are making waves both locally and globally.  

Jaimee Ann Alvarez, a Senior High School student, was honored for her brave actions in providing life-saving assistance at an accident scene. Her quick thinking and compassion embody the values of SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), as she responded to an emergency with courage and empathy. 

Additionally, Supreme Student Government President Richard Molina shared his experience of being awarded Best Delegate at the Asia Youth International Model United Nations in Thailand. Richard’s achievement showcases his dedication to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) as he represented CIT-U on an international stage, promoting diplomacy and global cooperation. 

Both visits highlight CIT-U’s commitment to excellence and the positive impact of its students in creating a sustainable and just future.  

CIT-U Launches IMA Student Chapter, Opening Doors to Future Finance Careers 

 
CIT University proudly launched the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) CIT-U Student Chapter, offering students an exciting gateway into the dynamic world of management accounting. The Grand Launching Ceremony and Orientation introduced attendees to IMA, providing valuable insights into the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification, along with career opportunities, industry trends, and essential skills. Networking sessions with students, faculty, and industry leaders further empowered participants, equipping them to lead and innovate in the finance sector. 

This event underscores CIT-U’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 4 (Quality Education), as it exposes students to the latest industry knowledge, ensuring they are prepared for the ever-evolving financial landscape; SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), by highlighting the CMA certification as a powerful tool for accessing impactful careers; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), through its collaboration with IMA to bridge academia and industry, creating a path to a globally competitive future.

CIT-U Junior High School Celebrates UN Month with Creativity and Global Awareness 

CIT University’s Junior High School Department wrapped up a successful United Nations Month celebration, highlighting the importance of global unity and cultural diversity. The event offered students a platform to explore their roles in addressing pressing global challenges while fostering a sense of responsibility in today’s rapidly changing world. 

Through creative activities, the students gained a deeper understanding of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how they can contribute to achieving them. The event aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education), by expanding students’ perspectives and promoting inclusive learning; SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), by encouraging respect and peace-building among nations; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), by stressing the importance of global cooperation in working towards a better future for all.
