CIT University, through its Networking and Linkages Office (NLO), proudly renewed its Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Nihon University, continuing a valuable partnership that began in 2017. This renewed collaboration reinforces both institutions’ commitment to advancing quality education and promoting global connections, aligning with CIT University’s goal of fostering innovation and sustainability in education and industry. 

The renewal ceremony, held during the visit of representatives from Nihon University, highlighted the shared vision of both institutions. The guests were given a tour of CIT University’s industry-aligned Civil Engineering laboratories, showcasing the university’s state-of-the-art facilities. The visit also underscored the commitment to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), as both universities continue to develop sustainable and innovative solutions for future challenges. 

Present during the meeting were key representatives from CIT University, including Mr. Felrem Lor, Chair of the Civil Engineering Department; Dr. Evangeline Evangelista, Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture; and Engr. Roberto Base Jr., Assistant Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture. Other notable attendees included Atty. Corazon Evangelista-Valencia, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Mr. John Gregory B. Escario, Vice President for Administration (who attended online); Atty. Janzen Joseph G. Sevilla, Director of Finance; Atty. Hanna Mae Mata, Legal Counsel; and several faculty members from the Civil Engineering Department. 

This partnership not only strengthens the academic collaboration between CIT University and Nihon University but also ensures that both institutions remain at the forefront of educational excellence and industry-driven innovation.
