The recent success of Mr. Dave Andrey B. Mosqueda’s international internship, a top graduate of the BS Architecture program, highlights the institution’s commitment to nurturing world-class professionals and advancing its internationalization goals.

Mr. Mosqueda’s journey began with a proposal from Architect Angela Abelgas, a teaching faculty member, and Architect June Bayaton, Department Chair. Their idea was to offer a fully sponsored two-month international internship in Dubai, UAE, to the most outstanding graduating student of the BS Architecture program for the school year 2023-2024. This initiative was launched during the department’s general assembly in October 2023, inspiring students to strive for excellence.
The selection process was merit-based, awarding the internship to the top graduate of the batch. Mr. Mosqueda emerged as the most deserving candidate, demonstrating exceptional academic performance and dedication.
Exemplary Internship with XYZ Designers
Mr. Mosqueda’s internship took place at XYZ Designers, a prestigious architectural consultancy firm in Dubai, led by architects Khaled Alshamaa and Hamdi Adams. Renowned for projects like the Expo Dubai 2020 Syria Pavilion, Formula 1 Jeddah circuit, and Ras Al Khaimah’s Quattro Del Mar, the firm provided Mr. Mosqueda with a platform to engage in real-world architectural practice.
The sponsorship included return flights, visa processing, hotel accommodation, communication allowances, and local tours within Dubai and Abu Dhabi. In addition, XYZ Designers provided a two-month stipend for Mr. Mosqueda. This generous support enabled him to fully immerse himself in professional practice, handling tasks from concept design to technical design, as well as site project exposure.
His performance during the internship exceeded expectations, earning him an offer to extend his tenure for another two months. His work ethic, creativity, and technical acumen left a lasting impression on the firm’s leadership, affirming the exceptional quality of CIT University’s education and training.
