1. How will online classes be conducted?

As we continue to redefine the top in delivering quality education, our online classes will be conducted using Microsoft Teams (MS Teams). This platform is essential for our virtual classroom experience, offering tools that help you stay organized and connected with your instructors and peers.

To get started, download and install the MS Teams app on your computer or mobile device. You can find it on the Microsoft Teams website or through your device’s app store. This step ensures you are prepared to engage in your classes and access the resources that will help you excel in your studies.

2. How do I use MS Teams for the FIRST TIME?

Logging into MS Teams for the first time is straightforward. Use the username and password provided in your welcome message on the AIMS portal. This first login will set you up to participate in all your online classes, collaborate with classmates, and access educational materials.

3. What is AIMS?

AIMS, our Academic Information Management System, is the backbone of our administrative and academic processes. It’s a platform where you can access essential information about your courses, instructors, and academic records. 4. I have already signed in to MS Teams. How do I join an online class?

Once signed in, joining an online class is easy. Your instructor will create a Team for each class. To find your classes, click the “Teams” button on the left side of the MS Teams app. You will also receive an invitation to join each class via your Outlook or CIT email. Simply click the invitation link to join the Team and immerse yourself in your learning experience. Access your Outlook account here.

5. What if I don’t see my class listed or haven’t received an invitation?

If your class isn’t listed in MS Teams or you haven’t received an invitation, don’t worry. Contact your instructor directly through MS Teams. You can find your instructors’ names and contact details listed in the AIMS portal. This proactive approach will ensure you don’t miss any critical classes as you pursue academic excellence.

6. What if I have other concerns about MS Teams or my login details don’t work?

Technical issues can arise, but we have a dedicated Technical Support Group ready to assist you. If you’re having trouble with your MS Teams account or if your login details aren’t working, please reach out to our Technical Support Group at tsg@cit.edu via Outlook, tsg.noc@cit.edu via MS Teams chat, or visit them in person on the 3rd floor of the NGE Building.
