The Learning Resource and Activity Center is a support unit of the Cebu Institute of Technology – University, taking an active role as one department to collaborate with CIT University’s six colleges to respond to instructional, research and information needs.

Reading Hubs

A reading hub is a complementary aspect of the reading area. An individual or a group can make use of the hub for studying, aside from the conventional table and chairs. This provides a relaxed and comfortable place for clients to ready, study and make group works as an individual or a group can have a separate space from the other users.
Elliptical Reading Area

The elliptical reading area is a combination of high reading table (ledge type) and a standard reading table with back and seating cushion. It has a unique architectural design and an “infinity” concept found at the center of the Subject reference area.
Discussion Rooms

The discussion room is equipped with technology to supplement the needs of the current generation of clients. Each discussion room also has its won acrylic board which library users can use in their group conference.
Activity Loft

The open space activity loft is located beside the Serial Library. The mini-theatre designed loft is covered with grass-like carpet. Soft-covered cushions are provided for the library patrons to sit comfortably on the staircase.
Wildcats Exhibit Area

The Wildcats exhibit area is a mixture of style and comfort. This area offers a unique experience of lounging while studying.
Reading Duo with shelves

A reading duo is a combination of bookshelves and reading spaces with different elevation – one at the back of the shelves and one beside the shelves. It is a library component that provides opportunity for clients to read their selected reference books without the hassle of going to different areas or sections of the library.
Multimedia Nook

A multimedia nook offers a unique multimedia experience to its library users due to its accessories such as individual headsets, LED Screen TV, and multimedia players. It has an arcade type of design with back and seating cushion.
CompuHub

The cyber library or the Computer hub, which is now transformed into a larger scale digital library, houses all the digital collection of the library which users can access freely. This is the most integral part of the library as it transitions and caters to the growing demand of technological advancement.
Multimedia Viewing Room

The multimedia viewing room is where clients can relax and view movies and documentaries through the digital collection of the library. The library in today’s generation has to depart from its medieval description as a place to “just read”. Reading nowadays has become synonymous to relaxation and henceforth studying has also adopted this correlative activity.
Pictch Room

The pitch room enables clients to discuss as a group and pitch out presentations. This type of discussion room is equipped with technology to bring out thoughts and ideas of the group and the speaker or facilitator of the discussion can take the lead in the platform provided at the center of the room.
