A roar of congratulations for Ms. CESAFI 2022
Team Wildcats congratulates CIT University’s representative Ms. Angela Kristiana McKinney for winning as Ms. CESAFI 2022 First Runner Up for the college division. Ms. CESAFI 2022 was the event opening for CESAFI’s Season 22 held in Cebu City Coliseum on October 15, 2022. Meanwhile, Angela also secured the Miss City of Talisay 2022 title which was held just the day before, October 14, 2022. This back-to-back victory shows that whether in academics, pageantry, or sports, our students always strive to make us the top university in Cebu.
A round of Kudos for the ME department!
CIT University’s Mechanical Engineering students grabbed the CHAMPIONSHIP title during the PSME Mandaue 9th Mechanical Engineering Week held in Parkmall on October 15, 2022. The award was given for the thesis presentation of the study entitled “Design and Fabrication of RFID Medicine Dispenser System”. The study was presented by Ralph Jay Branzuela, on behalf of his thesis teammates Van Collen Araco, Ruel Lacaba, Jr., Philip Joshua Timkang, and Ramer Villamejor, under the tutelage of their thesis adviser Engr. Mark Cecil Tano. This well-deserved CONGRATULATIONS is for our future engineers who consistently make us the top engineering university in Cebu
CIT University heads PACU for AY 2022-2024
CIT University proudly congratulates our very own university President, Engr. Bernard Nicolas E. Villamor, for having been elected as the new President of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU) for Academic Year 2022-2024. PACU officially made the announcement in their social media post on October 19, 2022. Prior to becoming the organization’s president, CIT University, as represented by our university president, was previously PACU’s Corporate Secretary and first Vice President. As the top university in Cebu, we altogether declare, “All hail!”
CIT-U FTW in PSQ!
True to our name as the top university in Cebu, CIT University grabs the Top 2 and Top 4 spots in the Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) bowl that was held in CTU Campus on October 20, 2022. Congratulations to Civil Engineering students June Bernard Miñoza (2nd Place) and Carl Michael R. Dela Torre (4th Place)! The university was also recognized for having all three representatives reach the clincher round in the competition. Coached by the CIT-U Industrial Engineering Department faculty, Engr. Ella Marie Barrioquinto and Engr. Kristan Ian D. Cabaña, the winning students displayed their brainpower in answering the questions and clinched the qualifiers for the regional round. All hail, Teknoys!
CIT University celebrates ICT Competition win
Keep it up, Team Wildcats! CIT University is among the 10 teams that qualified in Huawei ICT Competition 2022-2023 Asia-Pacific-Philippines for the Network Track category. 60 students participated from the Philippines’ top universities and CIT-U is among the team that advanced to the laboratory exam part of the competition. The first round of the competition was held on October 18, 2022. The next round will be on November 8, 2022.
